Enhancing community well-being through partnerships in education
Call for Papers:
Submission of Abstracts Deadline is January 31, 2011
The 2011 edition of the PREL compendium will focus on technology and multimedia for education. The Research into Practice 2011: Technology for Education Compendium is to be published by PREL and serve as a central resource for information on technology for education in the U.S.-affiliated Pacific Region (USAPI). This Issue provides the opportunity to share research and critical thinking on a wide range of topics, which will increase our knowledge and understanding of the roles of technology in education. It takes on a dialogical format that includes responses by critical friends and comments to those responses by the authors, inviting the reader to engage in the topic beyond the initial article.
Acceptance of submission will be based on a blind peer review process. If you are interested, please read the Call for Papers and the Guidelines for Authors for complete details.
The Current Issue:
This special edition of the PREL compendium aims to highlight, promote, and extend the understanding of education in “context” or “place.” The discussions about context-based education found here have developed in response to the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB) and the current debates surrounding the reauthorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA).
