Center for Educational Accountability (NCEA). A collaboration
between the Education Commission of the States, the University of
Texas at Austin, and Just for the Kids, the NCEA website compiles
information on the effective use of school and student data. The
website identifies best practices in evaluation and data collection
and provides information on how data is used.
National
Center on Educational Outcomes. The National Center on
Educational Outcomes provides information on the participation of
students with disabilities in national and state assessments,
standards development, and graduation requirements. The website
includes links to accommodations, alternate assessments, reporting,
and universal design.
National Center
for Research on Evaluation Standards and Student Testing
(CRESST). CRESST conducts research and development on
assessment and accountability systems. The website includes
information for teachers and parents. The Assessment and Rubrics
section of the website contains downloadable resources for teachers
to use for classroom assessment.
What Works
Clearinghouse. The What Works Clearinghouse is a repository of
studies of the effectiveness of educational interventions. The
website contains standards that provide guidance to those
conducting studies, including "A User Friendly Guide for Evaluators
of Educational Programs and Practices." Download reports on topics
such as beginning reading, early childhood education, dropout
prevention, early childhood education, and English language
learning.
Missouri Assessment Program Student Assessment.
This assessment bank contains numerous resources for teachers to
use in developing performance assessments. Choose your grade range
(K-12) and subject areas to find sample units and
assessments.
The Princeton Review: Low-Stakes Formative
Assessment. This website contains information on the Princeton
Review's assessment services. Services are customized to districts'
unique needs.
