Pacific-Focused TA Providers

Federally-funded technical assistance (TA) providers with a Pacific focus, in addition to the Pacific Comprehensive Center (PCC), include the following:

The Western Regional Resource Center (WRRC). The WRRC serves the special education agencies in: Alaska, American Samoa, California, the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (CNMI), the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM), Guam, Hawai‘i, Idaho, Nevada, Oregon, the Republic of Palau, the Republic of the Marshall Islands (RMI), and Washington.

The Region X Equity Assistance Center. The Equity Center provides training and technical assistance on issues related to equity in education to ensure that all children, regardless of race, gender, or national origin, have equal access to quality education and the opportunity to develop high academic standards in reading, math, language arts, and other core subject areas. The Equity Center helps public schools and communities incorporate educational equity into policies, procedures, and classroom practices.

The Regional Educational Laboratory Pacific (REL-P). The REL-P serves American Samoa, Chuuk, the CNMI, the FSM Department of Education, Guam, Hawai‘i, Kosrae, Palau, Pohnpei, the RMI, and Yap. The focus of the work of the REL-P is scientifically-based research, technical assistance, and professional development in reading comprehension for the purpose of improving and strengthening reading instruction and English language learner achievement.

The Territories and Freely Associated States Education Grant Program (T&FASEGP). The T&FASEGP assists with grant competitions and provides training and technical assistance to local education agencies (LEAs) in American Samoa, the CNMI, Guam, and Palau. The goal of this program is to provide support for direct educational services to assist all students with meeting challenging state academic standards and to carry out activities described in the Elementary and Secondary Education Act of 1965 (ESEA) as reauthorized by the Child Left Behind Act of 2001 (NCLB).
